 1. The advert was produced in the 1950's.  2. In the 1950's women were presented as house wives and to stay in the house and do daily domestic chores, This product affects society as it is targeted for women and is meant for women. In the 1950's it was a patriarchal society and women were often victims and in those times it was normal for women to be house wives. In these ads, women are shown as having control over their own decisions and as being able to change other people's behaviours and thoughts. 8. Stereotypes are also prevalent in every day media.  Women are often portrayed solely as homemakers and carers of the family, dependent on men, or as objects of male attention. 9.  Women have entered the workforce in large numbers, and men have become more involved in household and childcare responsibilities . The impact of these changes on both men and women has been mostly positive.

The Key conventions are is the pack of skittles which says skittles and portrays a rainbow made of skittles behind the pack of skittles that has 4 different colours which are bright, yellow, purple, green and red which all display a energetic feeling. This clearly communicates to the audience as they may wanna enlighten up and buy the product due to the slogan saying "taste the rainbow" which may persuade the audience to buy their product and try it out. 2.
